NBC’s ‘Grimm’ season 5: Premiere date speculation and much more

Tonight, “Grimm” season 4 came to a close with an episode that hopefully delivered everything that you wanted it to. This was a challenging season for a variety of different reasons, and one of the biggest reasons for that was taking an established character in Juliette, and then twisting her in such a way that made you wonder if she could ever go back. (Of course, we know the answer to that now.)

So could there be stories of similar magnitude in the upcoming fifth season? It’s an interesting question, and it is one that we do not have a precise answer to just yet. It’s still far from when it will premiere. One of the things that you have to remember here is that when it comes to NBC, this is not a network that tends to hurry when it comes to their Friday schedule. Our guess is that come the end of October, the show could be back on the air.

Given that we are entering the fifth season, now is the time when you do have to start wondering whether or not the show could be coming to an end soon. “Grimm” is not a ratings monster, though it does air on Friday nights and expectations are low.

Our guess? That we will see the show run until season 6, since that is the end of the regular contract cycle for most actors. Also, we feel like there are enough stories left to tell for two more years, and does NBC really have anything that will get better ratings on Fridays?
