‘Survivor: Worlds Apart’ finale preview: Can season 30 deliver satisfying finish?
At the end of tonight’s “Survivor: Worlds Apart” episode, we were left with quite an interesting narrative going into the finale, one where we have five contestants vying for the million-dollar prize that come from all walks of life, and not just in terms of their “Collars.” You’ve got a viral video star from California, a young guy from Boston, a Texan, a barrel racer, and a New Yorker now living in Florida. It’s a real array of characters.
Jeff Probst hyped before the season that this one was going to be great, and obviously either a Mike or Carolyn win would be quality for a greatest finish. Both of them are both underdogs now, neither have idols, and they may have to win their way to the end. They are both capable of it! The struggle that they will run into strategically here is finding numbers, given that there is zero reason for Sierra to ever go against either Will or Rodney. She for sure has Will beat, and depending on his demeanor, she can take down Rodney, as well.
So while we do not always like it when a finale comes down solely to challenge wins, that seems to be the case here. If either Carolyn or Mike make it to the end, they win. In the rare event they get there together, Mike probably still wins. The only point of drama could be what happens if the entire alliance all votes together out of bitterness, and snubs someone who is a much more deserving champion than someone who really did not do much in the game.
We’re probably going to have a ton to talk about, and we are even still in the thick of our “Second Chance” article series! Head over here to get some more of those, or click here to read our review of tonight’s episode!
