‘Outlander’ episode 15 video: Claire, Black Jack Randall face off in ‘Wentworth Prison’

“Outlander” definitely loves to be creepy, and you have no better example of how creepy they can be by allowing Tobias Menzies to play both Frank Randall and the sinister Black Jack in the past. He is the most notorious man on the show, and we are thoroughly freaked out any time that we see him in a scene with Claire. In a way, we wonder if the physical similarity here allows her to dissociate more from Frank.

Without getting too much more into the psychology of it all, we can at least say that the promo below for Saturday’s “Wentworth Prison” is basically madness of the worst kind for Claire and Jamie Fraser. He is captured there, and now completely at the mercy of Black Jack as he aims to torment him even more than he has to date. While we cannot confirm anything just yet, the promo definitely makes it look like some of the most horrific scenes that we’ve seen on the show to date are still to come with these two characters.

By the end of this episode, the stage will be set for the finale, and we will also continue to wonder how much longer these three characters are all going to be able to still exist in the same world. Do you eventually have to kill Jack in order to make things realistic, or does he work as a continued adversary in the long-term? We’re not sure, and since we have not read the books, it will remain a surprise.
