ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 finale spoilers: Stana Katic’s Kate, Nathan Fillion’s Rick, and baby questions
Let’s begin this “Castle” finale article with what has become an almost obligatory Stana Katic – contract update: There is no further news right now. She has been busy filming a movie (and not to mention getting married), so she’s really had plenty of other things going on as of late. We do think the questions will be at least addressed this week at the ABC upfront presentation, and who knows? Maybe it is something that will come up in some form during Monday night’s finale.
If nothing else, one thing we do know is that many have wondered whether or not we could get a big cliffhanger around whether or not Katic’s Beckett and Castle (Nathan Fillion) are looking to expand their family. The subject of children has been brought up on the show before in episodes like “The Good, the Bad, and the Baby,” and anytime after you have a TV wedding, this is thought of as a logical next step … even though Castle’s daughter Alexis is already grown up.
While you are of course not going to get any definite answers as to this subject before Monday’s episode airs, show creator Andrew Marlowe does confirm to Entertainment Weekly that this is at least something that will be brought up:
“It’s out there. It’s very much on Beckett’s mind when she’s talking about her future, and when she’s considering her options. That’s one of the things that we’ve been dealing with in the run-up to the finale. But some of the options that are put on the table are really unexpected ones. So that’s what we’ll be dealing with in this season’s finale.”
There’s really not much time left at all to wait, so we’re going to end the finale speculation now. Just expect “Hollander’s Woods” in the end to be a creepy continuation of Castle mythology, and also an exploration into what Beckett’s future could be.

I think that last nights show was the best ever, loved how they wraped everything up, and will have a good starting place next fall or when they come back. Everyone in the cast did a great job last night. The table with all the cast was awesome and looking all good. Thank all of you for a great year you are the best.
