‘American Crime Story’ spoilers: Selma Blair cast in Kris Jenner role

FX -You have obviously seen plenty of the Kardashian – Jenner clan on TV over the past several years, but not exactly in the same way you’re going to on “American Crime Story: The People v. OJ Simpson.” It is Robert Kardashian’s role in the trial that really thrust this family into the spotlight long before Kim Kardashian hit the party scene or before Bruce Jenner really started to enter the picture.

We have heard already that former “Friends” star David Schwimmer is set to play Robert Kardashian in this upcoming FX miniseries. Today, it was confirmed that it will be Selma Blair, who already has some history with the network courtesy of “Anger Management,” who plays the part of Kris Jenner. This news comes courtesy of Deadline.

While you may be tired of reading many Kardashian – Jenner stories at this point, it will be somewhat interesting to see how this show, executive produced by Ryan Murphy, portrays this family. If they are heavily criticized or placed into a negative light on the show, how will they react? Will it help or hurt the ratings for the series? So far, the only real scripted impersonation of the family has been Nasim Pedrad’s famed impersonation of Kim on “Saturday Night Live,” which was funny even if it was not particularly accurate in terms of her voice.

There is no precise premiere date yet for “American Crime Story,” but we imagine it coming on the air at some point later this year. We will have some other news on it as it breaks, and for now, you can see some of the other latest updates by heading over to the link here today.
