Ratings: ‘Revenge’ series finale, ‘The Good Wife’ season 6 finale rise up
“Revenge” may be over, but at least the long-plagued-by-low-ratings drama gets a chance to go out on a slightly higher note.
For its series finale “Two Graves,” the show saw its ratings rise up to a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which is its highest total in a little while now. It doesn’t really matter how happy ABC is with the ratings, but at least fans of the show can feel like it had some sort of worthy conclusion in the numbers. It did beat the season 6 finale of “The Good Wife” (1.2), which saw a rise in the ratings itself in celebration of seeing Kalinda for one final time.
As a whole, though, the ratings for broadcast TV on Sunday night are a little weak. The finale for “Once Upon a Time” (1.7) won the night, but remember when the premiere this season drew a 3.5? That is more than double the rating! Granted, that was probably boosted to a certain extent by “Frozen” fans looking forward to seeing what Anna and Elsa were going to be bringing to the series; interestingly, they have nary been mentioned ever since that arc with the two of them and the Snow Queen ended. Then again, the same goes for Robin Hood, and we had almost forgot about Zelena until she resurfaced.
There will be some changes coming for Sunday night in the fall, at least in that we anticipate ABC and CBS making at least some changes to their schedule. We’ll get a chance to find out a little more about that at the upcoming upfront presentations this week.
