‘The Good Wife’ season 7 spoilers: Could Archie Panjabi return?

Even though we just saw the end of the Kalinda character on “The Good Wife” season 6, at least in terms of her being a regular character, it is only understandable that you would ponder over her future. Couldn’t there be a situation or two where you envision her returning? Maybe, but at the moment you really should not label this as likely.

Speaking about this particular subject in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Archie Panjabi made it clear that while it is possible that Kalinda could be back, she does not think that it is particularly likely:

“Kalinda believes it’s the right time to leave. She’s done all the things that she needs to do, so I believe it would be unlikely for her to come back, given the situation. But you never know with this one. She often surprises me, let alone the creators and the audience.”

We could see this appearance happening for a potential series finale … but it would have to be under the right circumstances. There are a few instances in which a return would just feel forced for for the sake of hyping the ending the show. The best way to respect her character is to allow her exit to be organic, and to now figure out where Alicia and the rest of the main characters go from here.

“The Good Wife” has not been renewed officially as of yet, but it should be in the near future.
