‘Call the Midwife’ season 4 finale spoilers (PBS): The biggest Patsy / Delia story yet

Patsy -

It was mere weeks ago when “Call the Midwife” first premiered on PBS, but next week, we are going to be seeing everything wind down with one last episode for the year (or at least until we get to the holiday season, depending on when the Christmas episode airs this year). This is going to be a big episode for some many reasons, but especially for the Patsy – Delia relationship. You’ve hopefully come to know and care about these two throughout the past several weeks, but the biggest story yet for the two of them is about to happen. For the sake of keeping it a secret, though, we’re not going to say too much else at the moment.

One other tease that we will offer you at this very moment is rather simple: A beloved character will be around in a big way after spending some time elsewhere much of the series.  It is not Jessica Raine, though; she and Jennifer Worth seem to be gone for good, at least save for the Vanessa Redgrave narrations at the start and ending of each episode.

Just in case you do want something more now in terms of what you can expect, just take a look at the TV Guide synopsis now below:

“In the Season 4 finale, Trixie and Sister Mary Cynthia care for a deaf mother-to-be; a case of morning sickness proves to be more serious than initially believed; and Fred’s daughter isn’t happy about his forthcoming wedding.”
