‘The Originals’ season 2 finale spoilers: Show bosses on struggles between Klaus, Elijah

The season 2 finale of “The Originals” is coming on Monday night, and based on some of what we’ve seen so far, you better prepare to see all sorts of chaos raining down on the city of New Orleans.

While this is a show that revolves around a variety of different topics, family is still one that the characters hold as more important than just about any other. Therefore, can you be that shocked that one of the key discussion points for Michael Narducci and Julie Plec in the video below is family? These two still care deeply about one another, but the trust and the bond between them has been broken yet again. By the end of this season, it is very well possible that they are in a position where they are not going to be able to save their relationship at all.

Of course, there is also another question: Is it possible that we could see Dahlia actually die during the finale? Part of us hopes so, if for no other reason than that it opens the door for another villain to come in. We feel like every season or so introducing a new Big Bad helps to create stakes. If you do want to keep Dahlia around, why not bring her back at some point a year or two down the road? That gives you some time to actually miss her.

Whatever happens in the finale, we definitely expect a cliffhanger or two that will carry into the third season. Stay tuned for some other updates!
