‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 6, episode 23 preview: The mystery of Callen’s father

As we get closer to the end of “NCIS: Los Angeles,” it feels more and more like the show is moving into a character direction. We ultimately cannot say just how much we sign off on this, given that the show sometimes just does emphasize big explosions and cases using characters we often do not get a chance to see on more than just one occasion.

So going into the next new episode Monday night, we have a very specific character question that is interesting: Are we close to solving the mystery of Callen’s father? We find this already interesting, especially since it exposes a side of Chris O’Donnell’s character that is more vulnerable and personable than any side of them that we have seen as of late. Hopefully, the next two episodes (which will feature quite a bit of globetrotting) are going to present him with some answers.

Now, let’s turn to something that you should be concerned about: What in the world is going to be going on with Kensi. In the promo below, it definitely looks like a car crash could mean that her life is in danger, but at the same time, we know by now that these can be very misleading. We can only imagine the sort of riots that would be taking place at CBS if they were to write out Daniela Ruah just a matter of half a season from finally getting her and Deeks together. This has been quite the long, elaborate journey to get us ultimately to this point.
