ABC’s ‘Revenge’ series finale spoilers: Will Jack and Emily / Amanda finally get their payoff?

Given how long you have been waiting for Jack Porter and Emily Thorne a.k.a. Amanda Clarke to get together on “Revenge,” we certainly imagine that there is a demand (and a pretty huge one) for something to happen in the series finale. Luckily, we’re hearing that a certain something almost surely will, based on some of the latest comments from the show’s executive producer.

In setting up the series finale in a chat with TVLine, Sunil Nayar makes it pretty clear that Jack and Emily are finally going to get together in some capacity during the finale, and one of the larger questions with it is going to be mostly how it happens, and then what they do following that to set up the rest of the story:

“That’s been an inevitability, the two of them coming together … It’s a lovely moment, but there’s still something so dark about the circumstances in which these things happen. It’s the scene you’ve been waiting for, but it’s not going to happen the way you expect it to.”

Nayar also confirms that there is a literal meaning to the finale title “Two Graves” in that two character will in fact die in the final episodes; there is just no guarantee that they are going to be Emily and Victoria, who at the moment have to be the two in the most risk given their history.

We’re grateful to the work Nayar has put into the show the past couple of seasons, but of course, we are going to both enter and leave the finale tomorrow wondering what the original idea for creator Mike Kelley was when it comes to how the show would end. Kelley departed following an uneven second season.
