‘Outlander’ episode 14 preview: Claire and Jenny’s interrogation

We knew that Claire and Jenny were going to do everything that they could to find Jamie Fraser on Saturday night’s new episode of “Outlander,” but it is also fair to say that the new sneak peek below gives us just that much more insight when it comes to one key thing: Who they are willing to potentially hurt.

This scene is probably the closest that we have gotten to a straight-up interrogation featuring Caitriona Balfe’s character, but we do understand where she is coming from. Jamie is her love, and she wants to do anything that she possibly can in order to ensure that nothing bad happens to him. That just so happens to including pressing a Redcoat on if he knows anything in regards to his whereabouts.

There is one part of this sneak peek that perhaps Claire and Jenny are glossing over, and that is the ramifications for what they are doing. Part of the reason Jamie got himself in so much trouble was the way in which he handled the Redcoats, and do all three of these people really benefit from having a target on their head? This interrogation is probably better for the sake of the risk and for short-term gain, but the losses in the long-term may be too much for Claire and Jenny to bear. (We’re writing this as a non-book reader, so don’t worry in regards to spoilers. Just speculating here!)

One thing that we do feel pretty confident about as we get closer to the end of this season is that life is not going to calm down for these characters; we only expect things to get that much more dangerous as we approach the finale.
