Given that the series finale of “Revenge” is entitled “Two Graves,” it really does not take a whole lot of effort to figure out here that by the end of the episode, two people are going to die. The only reason why this wouldn’t happen would be if the show decided that they were going to decide to be cute, and give the episode a title that was more out of irony than anything else. Also, this is a show that does have a knack for trickery, given how they managed to fake everyone out with whether or not we were going to see Victoria dead.
In speaking about the episode’s title to Variety, showrunner Sunil Nayar definitely makes us think to the best of his ability that this is a story that will result in some deaths:
“‘Two Graves’ is both a callback to the quote that kicked off the whole show [“before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves”], but also, there will be two people in graves by the end of the episode.”
The logical resolution of this story would be seeing the likes of Victoria Grayson and Emily Thorne dead, if for no other reason than that these are the two people involved in the center of the story, and they also have the thirst for more revenge than everyone else. Still, we’re not entirely sure we want to see Emily dead. Given that she was the driving force and was viewed most of the time as a heroine, we would prefer to see her eventually make it through the rubble unscathed.
