‘Masters of Sex’ season 3 spoilers: ‘The Good Wife’ alum Josh Charles to play major part
Even though Josh Charles has appeared on the likes of “Inside Amy Schumer” and directed “The Good Wife” since exiting the CBS show as a series regular, he has not taken on a significant TV arc somewhere else … at least until now.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Charles has been cast on the Showtime drama “Masters of Sex” in the role of Daniel Logan, a powerful businessman who works within the realm of scent. We already wonder if he has an alter ego known simply as Scented Candle Man as a result. Can you imagine? Anyway, Logan is a man who is trying to find a way to capture the smell of sex and market it to the rest of the public. With that in mind, can you really be that shocked that he wants to recruit the help of Masters and Johnson (pictured) in order to ensure that this happens?
The third season of the drama is filming now, and will premiere later this summer. Given the acclaim that we have seen it receive so far, having Charles on board is really an added plus. He received great praise for his take on Will Gardner, and he is one of those people who can really take on almost any role at this point thanks to all of the credibility that he has built up over time.
As for “The Good Wife,” the season finale airs on CBS Sunday night. While there has not technically been an official renewal for the series just yet, we definitely expect it to be coming back for another season. There is no reason for it not to creatively, even if it is not a ratings beast.
