ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 finale spoilers: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion, and mysteries of ‘Hollander’s Woods’
“Castle” season 7 has had a fairly impressive fun, but next week, the story comes to a close with “Hollander’s Woods,” a mysterious hour that brings Rick back to a secret that he has long kept, and something that in many ways inspired him to become an author in the first place. This first started to surface as a story earlier this season, as we started to delve deeper into his disappearance.
However, this is not the only major storyline that carries through this episode. Beckett also could have some big decisions to come for her career, and her story may be written in such a way to create ambiguity as to whether or not Stana Katic will be returning for an eighth season. For the time being, there is no word on it, even if we are at least reasonably optimistic something will get done at least before production on the new season starts a little later this summer.
If you have not see it already, check out some more scoop in the attached synopsis:
“A death in the woods draws Castle back to a terrifying and defining event in his childhood. Investigation leads to obsession, as he attempts to unearth answers that have eluded him for decades, all while Beckett faces a crossroads of her own.”
The promo below gives you at least a little more insight into the Rick story, and how he has made in some ways what he saw into, as Beckett calls it, a “personal Boogeyman.” It definitely sounds creepy, to say the least.

Hopefully the final episode won’t be the ( to use an old commando term a cluster f—) as the abduction arch was. And the hodgepodge season 7 was.
