‘Outlander’ episode 14 video: Can Claire beat Jack Randall in her search for Jamie?

There is not a whole lot of Jamie Fraser in the latest promo for “Outlander.” Instead, what we have here is the first look at what exactly Claire willing to do in “The Search” in order to secure that her husband is back with her and safe. Unfortunately, this is no easy task for her given that she is still unfamiliar with the land and the customs. Also, she is just one woman against the entire British army and Black Jack Randall.

Luckily, Claire is going to recruit help from Claire and others, but it may still not be enough in order to ensure that she gets to him before Jack does some of his terrible work to the poor guy. We still don’t fault her for doing everything that she can to try here.

Given that there are only three episodes left this season, though, we do hope that we get some answers on a variety of questions, with time travel being at the top of the list. How many others are there out there, and what are the rules that go along with it? Are there multiple portals? While the show does have this component of science fiction, they also at the same time have really shied away from using a whole lot of it for now. Instead, they have been more reliant on the characters.

Just don’t expect Frank Randall to appear in this episode. Based on what we’ve heard, it could be season 2 before Claire’s other husband shows back up and plays a role.
