‘The Good Wife’ season 6, episode 21 preview: Alicia gets back to basics
Is the old Alicia Florrick back on “The Good Wife“? If by that you mean the one that gets her nose to the grindstone and hopes to solve cases, then the answer to that is “yes.” This is much more of the side of Julianna Margulies’ character that fans who have been watching from the very beginning will remember.
The premise for the sneak peeks below ties back to Alicia’s past, as she is recruited by an old client to work on a murder case that stems all the way back from 2009. Given that this is when the series really started to get going on CBS, this is very much a full-circle moment.
However, what Alicia is going to realize along the way while working on this case is that nothing is what it once was. She will be judged by her past transgressions, even if in some cases these are transgressions that were really not her fault in the slightest. Take, for example, how the State’s Attorney election went complete kaput thanks to party pressure. The judgment here is a microcosm of the judgment that will most-like come her way as she gets closer to the finale and into the inevitable season 7.
For those who have not heard, don’t take the lack of Kalinda here as any sort of evidence that you are not going to be seeing the character any longer on the show, as we know that this is not going to be the case. In some form or another, Archie Panjabi will return for the finale.
