‘Game of Thrones’ season 5, episode 4 preview: Emilia Clarke’s Dany will return!
Missing a certain Mother of Dragons from “Game of Thrones“? While she did not have a role on the previous episode “High Sparrow,” we are finally getting set to see much more of Danaerys in Meereen moving into Sunday night’s “The Sons of the Harpy.”
As for why you should care (after all, the story for Emilia Clarke’s character has not been great as of late), the answer is simple enough: Things are about to get so much better for her. For one, we know now that Jorah is not exactly done on the show, and with Tyrion Lannister in his position, he is traveling to the city. He has a way to get back into Dany’s good graces, and he brings with him a valuable tool … though he may not know just how powerful he truly is. Tyrion’s a guy you do not want to tick off, given that if he sides with you, he is a powerful political ally. He knows where the Lannisters’ bodies are buried, and he also knows King’s Landing.
The only thing left to hope for is that it does not take too long at all for this trip to be completed. After all, travel is a strange, complicated thing in this world. Look at how long it took Arya and the Hound to make it close to the Eyrie, and then compare it to how Sansa and Littlefinger managed to basically travel up to Winterfell in an extremely short period of time. Let’s not even talk about the speed of those ravens from King’s Landing. The quicker that Jorah and Tyrion arrive, the better it is for Dany’s story.
For Clarke, the potential here has to be exciting to finally work with someone integral to the show, but also someone she has been around for filming reasons the entire journey through.
