‘American Crime Story’ spoilers: ‘Dallas’ alum Jordana Brewster signs on

FX -The cast of “American Crime Story” just keeps expanding, and this is already a show that has a great cast including Cuba Gooding Jr., John Travolta, and Sarah Paulson. The latest addition is someone who should be familiar either to fans of “Dallas,” or to the “Fast and the Furious” series of films.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Jordana Brewster has been cast to play the part of Denise Brown, the sister to the victim in the OJ Simpson case in Nicole Brown. This is a role that still has not been cast for the show, and the indications that we are getting is that she will not necessarily play much of a big role in the present story beyond just being a victim in the case. In other words, we’re not expecting a vast abundance of flashbacks.

“American Crime Story” represents a fairly big gamble both for FX and for executive producer Ryan Murphy. After all, the prolific showrunner has really assembled one of the best casts imaginable for this project, and it is one of the most familiar true-crime stories of the past several decades. We have a feeling that almost everything will be handled with some accuracy, and we do hope that this includes a rather hefty dose of the media circus that eventually ended up becoming a key part of the case.

There may not be an official premiere date for the show just yet, but you better believe that we will be providing one here the moment that it becomes available.
