‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8 finale spoilers: Sheldon, Amy, and big moments galore

The latest -Next week, “The Big Bang Theory” signs off for the season, and it will be doing so with an installment that feels in many ways like it will be a major step forward for the majority of the characters. It definitely feels that way when it comes to Sheldon and Amy, who are going to be addressing their relationship in a real way.

So who is the catalyst for change here? It seems to be mostly Mayim Bialik’s character. While Sheldon has taken a few moves forward in his personal life, at the same time she feels like they are mostly in the same position that they have been in for the past several years. She wants more, but is starting to feel like maybe she will never get that. If you missed it, take a look at what executive producer Steven Molaro had to say to TVLine:

“She’s fed up with how slow their relationship is progressing over the past five years … So she puts him up against a wall and says, ‘What are we doing?'”

Also important in this episode will be the story of Leonard and Penny, who are going to have to decide whether or not they are getting married sooner rather than later. The irony here is mostly that it is Sheldon who questions why they haven’t made any serious wedding plans all of a sudden. There will also be another relationship tested in this episode, as we are going to see Raj struggle with his relationship with Emily.
