‘Fear the Walking Dead’ spoilers: ‘Orange Is the New Black’ actress cast

In what is the least-surprising bit of news out there, AMC is not saying a heck of a lot in regards to their upcoming “Fear the Walking Dead” series. Why in the world would they? It is probably clear to them already that the show is going to get enormous ratings, so there’s really no pressure on them to make certain things clear about the series.

With that being said, at least we can tell you something further about the cast. According to a new report coming in from Entertainment Weekly, Elizabeth Rodriguez of “Orange Is the New Black” will be coming aboard in a role that is being kept under a veil of secrecy. Part of the fun about this show is that previously with “The Walking Dead,” you had a chance to at least guess who people were playing based on the template in the form of the comics. Not so much here. For the most part, this is complete guesswork to try to figure out just what in the world is going on.

The one thing that we can say is that the series, which is starring Cliff Curtis and Kim Dickens, has already filmed the first episode; therefore, Rodriguez is probably turning up later than this unless the show is doing some sort of reshoots or adding her in after the fact.

The short six-episode series is going to premiere this summer on AMC; there’s still no word on a possible “Talking Dead” companion show, but we would love to see it.
