ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 finale spoilers: First look at Stana Katic’s Beckett

The “Castle” finale is less than two weeks away, and yet we are still many questions out there all about it. Of course, the paramount one strictly revolves around the notion of whether or not we are near the end of the series. ABC still has not confirmed what the future holds, and Stana Katic’s contract is still up in the air. (As we recently reported, though, she’s also had other things going on with her life as of late.)

If nothing else, we can at least tease for you now some of the scenes featuring her character of Kate Beckett from “Hollander’s Woods,” starting with this one showing her either in deep thought or in a state of shock / confusion. What is going on here? We know that she is going to be facing a difficult choice in the final episode, and it could be tied to where she is in her career, and also where she wants to be.

This next photo may be at least partially more revealing, at least in that it shows Beckett potentially at some sort of hearing, where Lance Reddick of “Fringe” fame is also present! There is little doubt to us that she is qualified for some sort of promotion, but if she gets one, where could it take her? While we doubt that there is a repeat of the start of season 6 coming, the show may choose to leave her story somewhat ambiguous so that her uncertain future offscreen makes sense.

For now, just take solace in that the waiting is almost over.
