‘Jane the Virgin’ episode 21 preview: Gina Rodriguez, cast near the end
The first season of “Jane the Virgin” was been weird, wacky, and definitely stuffed full of twists. We’ve seen Jane start to find herself personally and professionally, and at the same time deal with relationship issues like she never imagined.
For the penultimate episode of the first season, Jane is going to be taking on a very different sort of issue: Going back into her past, and seeing some of what could be there for her at her high-school reunion. You should really expect some of the same awkward feelings that come at every single one of these. There is constant pressure to one-up everyone else, and prove that you’ve become a better person since leaving school. Unfortunately, that is not always the case.
For Jane, some of the awkwardness is just going to be having to talk about her unusual circumstance with a variety of students who are not likely to get it. For some further insight, just take a look at the attached synopsis:
“Jane (Gina Rodriguez) is nervous to attend her five year high school reunion because she feels her life is not what she expected it to be. Rafael (Justin Baldoni) confides in Petra (Yael Grobglas) about Jane’s custody request, making Petra think she can fix the problem and become the hero. Xo (Andrea Navedo) is confused about Rogelio’s (Jaime Camil) reaction during their show rehearsal until she learns the real reason behind it. Meanwhile, Jane agrees to attend Michael’s (Brett Dier) commendation ceremony, but she has a few ground rules.”
