‘The Following’ season 3, episode 11 preview: What lies after James Purefoy – Kevin Bacon shocker
Are you still recovering from tonight’s episode of “The Following”? We knew going into “Evermore” that things were not looking good for Joe Carroll, who was set to be executed over the laundry list of crimes and killings that he has committed. We admit that for a good percentage of even the final execution of Joe, we thought that James Purefoy’s character would find a way out of it. However, everyone does eventually have an expiration date, and that is even faster when you are a noted serial killer.
Translation? There was only so long that Joe was going to be able to last in this world.
Next week’s new episode is entitled “Demons,” which probably does make you think about that Imagine Dragons song. We cannot really blame you for that! Fox should just go ahead and license it. This episode will bring the investigation into Theo further, but also bring about more of the destruction of Ryan Hardy, who probably is one of the most frequently-destroyed characters in TV history. Take a look at the attached synopsis right now:
“The investigation leads the team to a dangerous serial killer linked to Theo, while Theo and Penny (guest star Megalyn Echikunwoke, “CSI: Miami,” “The 4400”) seek refuge from an unknown source with the means of helping them disappear. Meanwhile, Ryan struggles with recent events, sending him into a downward spiral, and the search continues into which agent has been accessing Daisy’s laptop from inside the FBI.”
