‘Call the Midwife’ season 4, episode 6 preview (PBS): Prepare for more of Patsy’s story

Patsy -Over the past handful of episodes on “Call the Midwife,” the story for Patsy has been rather fascinating. She is a woman who has clearly went through her fair share of struggle, and much of it has come from the fact that so much of her personal life has to remain a secret. She has someone in Delia who cares about her, but the show has kept it somewhat ambiguous to date about just what the true dynamic between the two is.

This is something that will begin to be a little more clear on the new episode of the show airing next week, as a dance between the two characters is going to provide for an opportunity for us to learn a little bit more about her. This is a story that will shape the rest of the season in some interesting and surprising ways.

One other interesting teases that we can offer about this story is seeing more of Sister Mary Cynthia’s development. We’ve come to know this character as both a midwife and a nun, and that is something that is extremely rare for this show. Typically, we tend to only know a character as one or the other, and never both. This is the rare change-up to that.

Remember here there there are only three episodes left this season, so consider this episode to be a valuable stepping stone to everything that is going to be coming up the rest of the way. This season has had a ton going on, so the opportunity is coming to tie it all together.
