‘Chicago PD’ season 2 spoilers: Sophia Bush’s Lindsay and ‘Push the Pain Away’

You may have heard this bit of “Chicago PD” scoop already, but at some point before the end of the season, we are going to see the world of Erin Lindsay rocked in a significant way. Someone close to her is going to die, and in turn this may make her ask a number of very important questions. Specifically, is this the sort of career she still wants to be a part of? Is this death going to draw her back into a world of darkness that she was once immersed in? You never fully escape your past in some ways, and there are certain ways in which she could be pulled back into that direction.

Now that we have said all of this, let us go ahead and share the synopsis below for “Push the Pain Away,” the May 13 episode and penultimate season 2 installment that will lead up to the finale. As you’ll see, it also includes a possible role change for Atwater, and there will be at least two other characters who do their part to help Lindsay out:

“When multiple people are shot inside an athletic club intelligence work to find and take down the shooters before there’s any more victims. When they discover that all the targets were from the same law firm it’s apparent that it is a case of corporate revenge. Now they need to find out what the motive for these killings. Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) is dealing with his new assignment, while doing so he plays a key role in locating the shooters. Meanwhile Platt (Amy Morton) and Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) are trying to approach Lindsay (Sophia Bush) to see how she’s coping with a recent death.”

Seemingly, this major death may occur on the May 6 episode that follows up the big crossover event. Be sure to watch that one live! You’ve been warned.
