ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4 spoilers: Show boss on hope for Emily and Jack

Ever since she reentered the world of the Hamptons as Emily Thorne, some of that old chemistry between Amanda Clarke and Jack Porter has bubbled underneath the surface on “Revenge.” Throughout the past couple of months, though, some of that has finally started to come to a boil. Jack has admitted to some feelings, and while she may have originally rejected him, that may be changing now that Victoria Grayson is dead and her identity is now out in the open.

Ultimately, if there was ever a time for these two characters to start to admit to how they really feel about each other, this would be it … if they can take the opportunity to give it a chance. While there may be struggles still ahead for them, show boss Sunil Nayar claims to TVLine that there is still quite a reason or two to be hopeful:

“Now that [Amanda’s] living in the world as herself, it gives [her and Jack] a greater opportunity to be who they are to each other … But it’s also terrifying for them, because there’s so much that’s built in to what this relationship is. You’ll see the nature of how star-crossed they are and how fate always chooses to intercede. The performances these two are giving [in these last episodes] are fantastic.”

At this point, we feel like something almost has to happen here. If nothing does, we will wonder just what the point was of all the buildup and teasing that we have received over the course of the past several years. We’ve always assumed that they were going to be building to something, and they can at least see what their future could hold.

Granted, Emily is far from being out of the woods just yet. The video sneak peek here suggests that she may still have both Margaux and Louise to deal with.
