‘Mad Men’ season 7, episode 11 preview: Roger seems far too pleased with himself
There are only four episodes left at this point of “Mad Men” season 7, and of course the promo below is very keen to make you remember that. In addition, it is also keen to keep the tradition of splicing together tiny clips as long as humanly possible.
It is somewhat funny in a way how much of this new promo is spent on Roger Sterling, and we really hope that this is some sort of indication that the story will be about him. Sure, we’ve seen a little bit to date of him with this gloriously magnificent mustache, but not nearly enough! Yes, we are also bummed that there are not many cast photos out there that feature it, since we are instead stuck with the video of Roger appearing as though he is about to compete on a new episode of “Match Game.” He’s an interesting, complicated guy who often wears his bold opinions on his sleeve. He also is apparently a man who has no problem cracking up in the middle of a phone call. Who said that it was ever in his personality to be that respectful?
Another highlight of this promo video, at least to us, is seeing Don offer up some congratulations to someone … but it is hard to know who it is. Also, it is hard to know whether or not he is being genuine.
Sooner or later, we want to see the foundations for what could end up being a suitable end. To date, though, the only characters we think have a reasonably conclusion now are Joan and Megan. We doubt that we even see the latter again.
What do you expect to see coming on Sunday night’s new “Mad Men” episode? Let us know with a comment.
