‘The Fosters’ season 3 spoilers: Lena’s father officially recast
“The Fosters” decided at some point going into this season that they wanted to bring back the character of Lena’s father Stewart Adams. However, in the process they understandably decided that they needed a new actor in the role. The character was previously played back at the end of the season 1 finale by Stephen Collins of “7th Heaven,” but following a now-infamous headlines regarding the actor that we don’t want to get into here, the show has smartly decided to move forward.
According to TVLine, Bruce Davison of the “X-Men” feature films has been brought in to be the new Stewart, and he will appear at the very least in the fourth episode of the upcoming third season and maybe more. This is a chance to explore more of the Lena character’s history, and this is something we may be doing more of now that Jake T. Austin has left the series. Getting rid of one major cast member could open the door potentially for some others to get additional time in the spotlight.
The new season of “The Fosters” will premiere in June, and our early expectation is definitely that we are going to be getting into some of the car accident aftermath sooner rather than later. That just makes the most sense given the path that we went on with the show at the end of season 2.
Are there still some other mysteries? Sure, especially when it comes to what Callie and Brandon each figure out what they want to do with their lives moving forward.

This is ridiculous to treat SC this way. the other actors should be refusing to replace him. these are 2 more shows I won’t be watching anymore.
