‘The Flash’ spoilers: Prepare for Stephen, Robbie Amell in ‘Rogue Air’

The FlashThe Flash” will conclude an epic first season on Tuesday, May 19 with an episode entitled “Fast Enough” (a clear reference to the title). Before that, though, we are going to have an installment in “Rogue Air” that could really serve as one of the best team-up episodes that we’ve seen yet. While it will be in some ways an “Arrow” crossover thanks to Stephen Amell making his presence felt here, at the same time you’re also getting the likes of Robbie Amell back in action and many of the show’s recent villains, including Doug Jones (Deathbolt on “Arrow”), Liam McIntyre (the Weather Wizard), and Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold). Of course, the difference for Cold is that he may not be portrayed in an entirely evil light in this episode … at least at first.

Late Wednesday The CW unveiled the full synopsis for this episode. Take a look at it below, since it helps to really explain the current battle between Harrison Wells / Eobard Thawne and all of those fighting for the good guys:

“As Wells (Tom Cavanagh) once again gets the upper hand on the S.T.A.R. Labs team, Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes he needs to make a big move and reaches out to an old foe, Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller), for help. Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) warn Barry that Cold can’t be trusted. True to form, Cold has his own agenda that involves the meta-humans trapped in the containment cells. As things seem to be going from bad to worse, The Flash gets reinforcements – Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell) and Firestorm (guest star Robbie Amell).”

We feel like one of the reasons for all of the team-ups / crossovers at the moment is to prepare you for that long-discussed spin-off that could be coming to fruition next season. Granted, Miller is the only person mentioned above confirmed to be a regular on it; we’re still waiting to see what happens with Firestorm since Robbie Amell is not confirmed.
