‘Outlander’ episode 12 video: First video tease for ‘Lallybroch’

If you have been curious to see more of where Jamie Fraser comes from, Saturday night’s new episode of “Outlander” is going to oblige fans with many gifts. “Lallybroch” is a chance to actually start to see more of his past, from his ancestral home to some of his family, but the biggest tease that we can offer you right now is that the results of him being here are probably going to be mixed.

One thing that Sam Heughan’s character may be surprised about is the reaction his presence draws from his sister, who may not be as pleased to spend time with him as he may have assumed. Much of the conflict here may come from the sole fact that he assumed that everything would stay the same in the time that he’s been away from his home, only to realize that this is not the case. Think of it as going away to college out of state for a few years, and then coming home to realize that nothing is exactly what you thought it was going to be going into it.

Also, there is the added conflict that comes from bringing in someone like Claire, and the inevitable feeling that comes from having a secret that you are forcing yourself to keep from those you love. You may want to open up and tell everyone the truth, but you know that you cannot.

Overall, we’re really just trying to say one thing here: This is not going to be the welcome homecoming that Jamie hoped to have.
