‘Orphan Black’ season 3, episode 2 preview: What comes next for Tatiana Maslany, cast?
Tonight, we had the grand return of “Orphan Black” to BBC America, and at the same time the beginning of another complicated web. This is what happens when there are more clones than ever before, and not to mention a variety of dramatic situations that most of them are met with. While Tatiana Maslany is getting still the majority of the limelight, props to Ari Millen for stepping into his multiple roles here very well.
Of course, tonight is the the beginning of what is going to be a very busy season. The Lena clones have a specific mission, Cosima and Rachel have been issues that they need to take on, and we are going to see more and more of a new face of evil. While the short synopsis below may not give away too much, this is at least a start:
“Castor pursues the Leda clones for original tissue samples. Meanwhile, Helena, who is pregnant and imprisoned, is examined by a mysterious villain.”
This should be as a whole a fun season to watch, or at least that is the sense we’ve gotten from everything the network, the producers, and the cast have given us so far. The obvious fear is that over time the original premise and its twist starts to lose a little bit of the hype / magic, but that has not happened quite yet here. Let’s just hope that there are some more twists (and clone dance sequences?) in the near future. We’ll be there every step of the way.
