ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: ‘Fringe’ alum Lance Reddick books finale role
As someone who has always been a fan of Lance Reddick’s, allow us to say that we are more than thrilled with the news that he is going to be appearing on the upcoming season 7 finale of “Castle.” As for who he is going to play … well, that is going to be a mystery for a little while longer.
Sources have confirmed that the former “Fringe” star has a mysterious role in what could end up being the series finale for the series as a whole, depending of course on whatever happens with the Nathan Fillion – Stana Katic contract negotiations. Reddick also has appeared recently on “American Horror Story: Coven,” and has shown himself to be great at playing either very wise or brooding, dark, or evil characters. There are a whole bevy of different people he could be within the world of this show. Given that 3XK is gone, though, we could use a new villain.
Unfortunately, you are going to be waiting for a while to find out for sure, given that the season finale will not air until May. We would assume that this will touch on something big for both the Castle and Beckett characters, but with the show currently facing an uncertain future, we hope that there is not some epic cliffhanger like what we had at the end of season 6. That may be too much to bear if the show does not continue.
As we get closer and closer to the finale, stay tuned: We’ll have so much more news related to the series!

Who is Reddick?
With regard to a possible “epic” cliffhanger “like” the 6×23 one let’s just hope that it isn’t “like” 6×23 in every way or it will destroy the series. I hope that they have realized that “cliff hangers”, “back stories” and “mythology” should be addressed in some way at least once a month. The garbage about Castle’s disappearance was just that – garbage. He disappeared, nothing happens or is even mentioned for a year and suddenly he has been thinking about it every day, he has been having recurring dreams making him lose sleep and then it suddenly becomes the most important thing on the planet. No way! Get real do you want to lose more fans because Nathan was right – you would lose fans because ” they get bored in the waiting”.

I might mention one other thing about the disappearance. Beckett as a detective and Castle as a mystery writer/detective are well aware that after any event clues become forgotten, covered up, thrown out, erased by time and human activity, etc. you get the picture but, apparently, the writers never did. Now the writers will have to either treat it as a psycho case or create permanent clues.
