‘Justified’ series finale: Is there any talk of a spin-off?
Tuesday night, “Justified” took its final bow on FX with an episode that may not have pleased anyone, but did something very fascinating and great at the same time: They cultivated an ending that the majority of viewers did not expect, but somehow still for the most part liked. Expectations are a monster, but in allowing both Raylan and Boyd to live, Graham Yost managed to establish the series as more about the adventure than necessarily some big crime tragedy. This show managed to be a thrill ride until the very end.
But is this really the end? Could you see a spin-off starring one of the show’s characters? “Better Call Saul” is proving that it can work, and Yost tells Entertainment Weekly that when the time is right, it would be considered:
“I think we’re just going to kind of take our breath and think about it and just enjoy having done this before we think any further. If there’s a demand or an appetite, I think we would be open pending availability and all. It was a great run and we had a lot of fun doing it with a great group of people.”
Our pick for star is pretty simple: Patton Oswalt as Constable Bob. We don’t believe he’s dead, even if he was not addressed completely in the finale. There has to be a whole world of exploits out there ready and willing to welcome that guy. We do think that the stories of Raylan and Boyd need to be over, but luckily Yost did such a great job filling this world up with other faces.

I do think that Raylan and Boyd as tv characters are done, I couldn’t imagine a spinoff with either of them in the lead because it would just be the same show really ..
But I do think it’s PRIME TIME for a movie with a final showdown … We know Boyd isn’t done… and Raylan wouldn’t let it go if he got wind of Boyd up to anything..
With that said.. I do love the Patton Oswald spin.. that could even lend it’s way to having some interesting cameos by Raylan and others..
