‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6 spoilers: Lucy Hale offers tease on time jump

At this point, you may have heard already that “Pretty Little Liars” is plotting something significant for their upcoming sixth season. They are moving finally towards a moment that has been years in the making (graduation), but beyond that, the show is moving forward to a time that is somewhere much further in the future. Will the characters be in college, out of college, or will it still be the summer before? Nobody is saying yet, other than that there is a time jump planned.

What we do know is that the Liars are most likely going to have romantic partners in some capacity when the show returns. Star Lucy Hale (Aria) basically confirms this to E! News, but she makes it clear that she is still hoping for Aria and Ezra to figure things out:

“I want to think hopefully when we do the time-jump they’re trying to have babies and stuff. But we’ll see!”

Do we think that Aria and Ezra could make this work long-term? Sure, but we would honestly be surprised if they are together at around the time the show jumps forward. It would almost make more sense for them to spend some time apart, discover what they like about themselves, and then come back to each other and prepare for a more fulfilling future that way. Plus, sometimes you need to be apart for a while to realize just how good you really have it when you are with someone. They have not really had all of that time yet.
