‘Chicago PD’ season 2 spoilers: How Sophia Bush’s Lindsay could be rocked to her core

It should come as no surprise at the moment that if you are on a show executive-produced by Dick Wolf, you should expect the possibility that a character could die at almost every turn. This is what happens when you work at a fire or police department; you’re putting yourself at risk almost every day. It may be frustrating to lose people, but that is what happens more often than not in real life.

With all of this in mind, do not be completely surprised to learn that someone is going to die at the end of “Chicago PD” season 2. While you would understandably think that this person is a member of the police department, that is not necessarily the case. All we can say is that it will impact Sophia Bush’s character of Erin Lindsay in a big way. Executive producer Matt Olmstead confirms this in a new interview with TV Guide:

“[The death] rocks Lindsay to the extent that at the end of the season, she’s looking at her detective shield wondering if she wants to continue being a detective or if she’s going to hand that over and take the easy way out.”

We’ll have a little bit of time to figure out just how this story is going to end, but we imagine that it will be an emotional one. It would be rather depressing, though, to see Lindsay leave the show. After all, she only rejoined Intelligence earlier this season after some time away.
