‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 16 spoilers: How the ‘Chicago Fire,’ ‘Chicago PD’ crossover ends
Will the current crossover event between “Law & Order: SVU,” “Chicago PD,” and “Chicago Fire” have an excellent conclusion? We are going to have an opportunity to find out come Wednesday, April 29, when this story will come to a close.
We have already shared some details from the first two parts of this event, which are entitled “We Called Her Jellybean” and “The Number of Rats.” Now, we move into the final part entitled “Daydream Believer,” which features the Chicago crews heading to New York to wrap up their investigation in full. What is the story going to be about this time? Hopefully a somewhat-pleasant ending, given that this is a story that really will be dwelling in darkness the first two times. This is the only part of this crossover that has a somewhat-encouraging title to it.
Now, let’s go ahead and share the synopsis (per SpoilerTV) below:
“Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Voight (Jason Beghe) lead their teams in the investigation of a rape/murder case that is frighteningly similar to a case from New York a decade ago. When forced to release their main suspect, the Chicago PD joins the SVU in New York in pursuit of Yates (guest star Dallas Roberts).”
So why is this the final part of the story? It is because of the creative direction of the story, which is going to stay in Chicago for two episodes before ultimately moving things along to New York. After this episode, “SVU” will shift back to its typical timeslot Wednesday nights at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.

April 13th is Kelli Giddish’s Birthday. Please be sure to wish her a Happy Birthday thru whatever method is possible for you. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KELLI! SVU is not the same without you in it. I hope NBC realizes this (IN A HURRY) and offers you a new contract that pays you like the star you are.
