‘NCIS’ season 12, episode 22 preview: Jamie Bamber returns in ‘Troll’

While “NCIS” is not going to be on the air with a new episode next week, the crime show will be back to officially begin its stretch run on Tuesday, April 28 with a story entitled “Troll.” That is the sort of title that implies angry internet comments, but that is not entirely what seems to be the case for this installment.

Instead, the synopsis below teases the return of Special Agent Ned Dorneget for the first time in a little while, and he is not the only guest star stopping by in the hour. You are going to get a chance to see Jamie Bamber return as Bishop’s husband Jake, and he will be present to help remind us that Gibbs is actually capable of fun from time to time:

“Special Agent Ned Dorneget from NCIS cyber operations assists the team when a Navy ensign who worked in the Office of Naval Intelligence is murdered. Also, the team discovers that Jake and Gibbs have become good friends, on NCIS, Tuesday, April 28 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network. Matt Jones returns as NCIS Special Agent Ned Dorneget and Jamie Bamber returns as NSA Attorney Jake Malloy.”

There’s still not a whole lot to on here, but at least it feels like there will be a nice comedic element to this story. Typically, CBS waits to release promos until the week before the next new episode, so we may be stuck for a little while waiting until then.
