‘Justified’ series finale spoilers: Death, many twists coming before final curtain

Tomorrow night on FX, “Justified” says farewell after many years on TV and plenty of thoroughly-entertaining antics. We’ve enjoyed the shootouts, the characters, and the bizarre backwoods charm that we’ve seen from some of these characters. We really do not feel like there is any other show out there quite like this, and we say that without a shred of irony or hyperbole.

So what is the first thing that we can tell you about the series finale? This is one that you will probably see coming: Multiple bodies will fall. This is according to TV Guide, and while we are not saying that any of these casualties will necessarily be Ava, Boyd, or Raylan (though that is possible), they will be important deaths. There is also a very huge moment coming early in the episode that will set the stage for everything that happens later.

The same report reads that there is going to be at least one more “major surprise,” and this will help to set up the endgame for some of these characters.

Do we feel that any of the main characters needs to die? Not necessarily, but there has to be some sort of consequences for past actions. For example, what will be the point of Boyd’s journey if he just gets to wash his hands of everything and move on? He may be one of our favorite characters of the past several years, but that would be not fitting end in our mind. He needs to face some consequences: As much as we’d love to see him ride off into the sunset with a bag full of cash it just doesn’t feel like a fitting ending to this story.
