It is always strange watching the previews that AMC releases for some of its series looking ahead to the next season, and we mostly say this for one simple reason: Nobody really knows what is actually going to happen yet! Unless you are the creator of a given show, you probably have not been told much of anything about where the story is going to take you.
This is true yet again for the video below when it comes to “Better Call Saul.” In here, you basically have Bob Odenkirk and Jonathan Banks finding creative ways of saying that they don’t know what is going to be coming up next. Then again, Banks just comes out and says it as bluntly as humanly possible. Obviously, they do know that there is a trajectory in place that will take Jimmy McGill into being Saul Goodman, a crafty lawyer who is ready and willing to mix things up and get his hands dirty.
To us, there are two main takeaways from watching this video:
1. The reminder at the start of it that Gene is still out there. While we don’t quite know just if or when this is a part of Jimmy’s life we will ever see again, it would be interesting to in some way. Just by having him so nervous of everyone he meets while working at that Cinnabon, we are infinitely curious as to if his past could ever catch up to him.
2. Given that Nacho is referenced and brought up again here, we have to believe that he may have a larger role in season 2 than he did here, only appearing in a handful of episodes.
