NBC’s ‘The Voice’ spoilers: The save returns next week!

For those of you who have loved the famous Save on “The Voice,” we come bearing some good news via the video below: It’s coming back in the blink of an eye! There is no reason to sit around wondering now about whether or not you are going to be able to impact the competition in a huge way.

As confirmed by Carson Daly in the video below, the Save officially returns next week, and it is going to work very much in the same way that it did last week. This is a chance to have a say immediately in the course of the competition, and this has worked very well for them getting increased social-media traffic. With this being said, we do feel at the same time like this is a fairly-imperfect twist. For example, we do feel bad for any contestant who is from the West Coast. They are automatically put at a disadvantage here, and there is almost nothing that they can do about it. They just have to hope that their fans tune in.

With this being said, we at least feel better about this one than the “American Idol” save, which feels tacked-on and a way for the series to try to capitalize on the success of “The Voice.” (Look at that! The elder statesman trying to take something from the newcomer!)

As of right now, Sawyer Fredericks is the consensus favorite to walk away with the title this season, and we don’t feel like he is ever going to be in serious danger of having to actually need the save.
