‘Survivor: Worlds Apart’ episode 9 preview: Could Jenn actually quit the game?
We’ve made it clear that we don’t love quitters on “Survivor.” We don’t even love it when someone openly talks about quitting. For Jenn, we understand that with Hali gone, she’s not enjoying the game anymore; however, her comments in the preview for next week’s episode sound almost like someone who is taking her ball and going home because she realizes that her alliance is losing. Suddenly, she doesn’t think that the game is fun anymore!
We’re really disappointed by this, mostly because we thought that she was a pretty solid player to this point; after all, she knows strategy and has a solid alliance. Also, while it seems like things are bad now, they could easily change later! If there’s one thing we know about this show, it is that nothing is guaranteed to stay the same forever. We don’t ultimately think that she is going to quit, mostly because if she was, why would production give away that she was thinking about it?
As for the other part of this preview, there is a challenge that is going to be completely brutal physically on some of the castaways. We don’t think anyone is being taken out of the game via medical or anything, but there could be some bumps and bruises as a result of this.
Our primary fear after watching the preview is simple: Are we being shown this stuff because there’s not too much else that happens in the episode? It does feel right now like Joe is getting sent home the first time he loses immunity.
