‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ reunion preview: Lisa Vanderpump defends parenting

Real Housewives of Beverly HillsWe have already made it through the first part of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” reunion special, which means that we may have gotten through at least some of the preliminary shouting and emotional moments.

So where does that leave us now? Hopefully, it is an opportunity to go a little more in-depth with some of the stories from the season. For example, why is Lisa Vanderpump allowing her son Max to live in the dark without electricity? As she explains, she is not going to coddle him or bail him out of any tough situation. While she may be incredibly wealthy, she is not a believer in allowing her son to get special treatment from her, whether or not he is at the restaurant or someone else.

Ultimately, Lisa’s strategy with Max is this: Let him work his way up the ranks naturally, and if he deserves a promotion, he’ll get one. She is smart enough to realize that employees are not going to respect a figurehead manager just because of who his mother is. While you can quibble about the specifics, we do think that not giving Max a handout on the job is going to help him more in the long run. Lisa continues to work hard, and expects the same exact thing from her son.

As an additional preview for Tuesday’s episode, the video below also features Lisa Rinna talking about if there is anything from her own upbringing in Oregon that she wishes that her own children could learn. Her answer in some ways could surprise you.
