‘The Originals’ season 2 spoilers: Expect violence, surprises as season progresses

Originals -

The Originals” returns to The CW with all-new episodes starting on Monday night, and you can be assured of a few things above all else. First and foremost, the story is building to the arrival of a potentially-great villain of Dahlia. She is arriving to the show for the first time on April 13, and will be played by genre veteran Claudia Black.

As the season progresses to its end, there is one thing that you can seemingly expect with some confidence: Violence, and plenty of it. While it may not be the biggest teaser in the whole world, Joseph Morgan shared a very simple thought in a post on Twitter that he has “a lot of fighting” at the end of the season. You really cannot be too shocked by this. Baby Hope has been in jeopardy almost the entire season so far in one way or another, and Dahlia coming really puts the child at risk. While Klaus may not be the warm and fuzzy type, he does have a few protective bones in his body for those he cares about.

Of course, this story may be so much more complicated than just seeing someone like Dahlia enter the picture. You do still have the Eva Sinclair situation that needs to be dealt with, and Vincent and Marcel may have a thing or two still to say. Given that “The Originals” already has a season 3 renewal, why would there be any pressure on the show to tie together loose ends? We feel like a super-huge cliffhanger is far more likely.
