‘Poldark’ episode 6 preview: Ross and Dwight’s rescue mission

Oh, the short-lived nature of BBC TV shows. It was only a few weeks ago that “Poldark” first began its revival tour, and we are now three away from it all being over … at least for now. Ross’ attempts to revitalize Cornwall have been met with a mixed response; he has managed to achieve some victories, but also many setbacks as the smelting company tries to hand on its feet, and his personal life hopes to make itself a little less messy than it is at present.

While there may not be too much known yet about the next new episode, we would tell you right now that Jim’s sickness is going to be one significant part of the story. Take a look at the synopsis below:

“With Jim gravely ill in Bodmin jail, Ross and Dwight launch a desperate mission to save him. Demelza is excited to attend a grand ball held by George, who is determined to ruin Ross and his smelting company.”

While Ross may come up with quite the plan to free Jim, here is the long-term issue with it: Is it really a great move to put himself in such risk? His actions here could have far-reaching consequences, especially from someone like George who already has motivation to destroy him. We have learned over time that Ross is an ambitious and often-noble man, but ambition cannot supersede logic if he wishes to survive within this world.
