‘Battle Creek’ episode 6 preview: Patton Oswalt guest-stars in ‘Cereal Killer’

We’ve said this in a few articles now, but we really wish that more people were checking out “Battle Creek” on CBS. How can you not want to watch an episode entitled “Cereal Killer”? Not only is it a pun-derful name for an episode revolving around Breakfast Day, but you have a guest appearance from none other than one of our favorite Guest Star MVPs in Patton Oswalt. Here is going to be playing a character who is certainly a bumbling mayor type, and he jokes upon talking with Milt that he wants to cut down on the police budget now that the FBI is in town.

Also, the first sneak peek below is worth watching just for the sheer joy on Josh Duhamel’s face when Milt realizes that he is going to have a chance to actually celebrate a day all about breakfast food. This is exactly the same sort of face we would make at the thought of this. What a glorious, glorious concept.

Unfortunately, there is someone out there who apparently does not like breakfast (did Cap’n Crunch go rogue?), and in turn decided that this would be a great time in order to try to assassinate the Mayor. Boo to that! This sneak peek reminds us that Oswalt’s character does not seem to take his job all that seriously, since he has a file he refers to as the “Crackpot File” featuring a wide array of complains he gets from people about this or that. How many crazy people could be in Battle Creek who want to kill the Mayor?
