‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’: Is Joe Giduice close to getting separate show?
While Teresa Giudice may currently be behind bars following a fraud sentencing, did you really think that you were going to see the end of her family on TV for a while? The fact that the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star posed recently with her family for an Us Weekly cover was a very obvious sign that she was not necessarily afraid of the spotlight, and we feel that more than ever now courtesy of this story.
Per a report from Gossip Cop, Teresa’s husband Joe Giudice is in talks for a potential series that will chronicle the life of the family while Teresa is behind bars. It’s possible that she could get out early (this happens all the time), but if the current sentencing holds, she would be in jail the rest of the year. A series fronted by him would allow for some extra income at a time when the family needs it. This to us is probably one of the reasons why they decided to sell that cover photo to the aforementioned magazine.
As for whether or not we’d want to watch it, this is an entirely different story. It feels like we have heard so much of the Giudice narrative at this point that we don’t know what else we need to see. Of course, they want to come across as loving parents and people trying to make things right, and a show would try to reflect that. Why do we need to see that?
Our other critique is just why they cannot just show this in little pieces on the Bravo series already employing Teresa. Even with her behind bars, it doesn’t seem like there are plans to fire her. Therefore, why not just give you a few minutes every episode or two to updates you on this family’s situation?
