‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: How ‘The Fallen’ may be key Oliver / Felicity episode

Olicity ‘shippers have reason to be throwing themselves a few viewing parties over the next couple of episodes of “Arrow” season 3. First, we had that awesome promo come out showing Felicity and Oliver finally hooking up after years of speculation about if it would ever happen. Now, we have some of the first official details from the episode that will probably make this happen.

“The Fallen” is the title for the April 22 episode of the show, and The CW’s synopsis below makes a couple of things clear. First, you have the news that Oliver is probably going to become Ra’s al Ghul once and for all after resisting temptation. Then, this setting may also be the setting for Oliver and Felicity making that next big move in their relationship:

“Ra’s al Ghul (guest star Matt Nable) finally makes Oliver (Stephen Amell) an offer he can’t refuse. The team joins Oliver on his journey to Nanda Parbat where a heartbroken Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) decides to take matters into her own hands.”

The important part of this synopsis for Olicity fans should be why Felicity is heartbroken. Did Oliver turn her away again before this episode, or is she just coming off a breakup with Ray Palmer? We hope more of the latter. We want to root for her and Oliver, but we also don’t want her to cheat on Ray in the process, since that changes the nature of the character by a large degree. It would be better to see things end between these two, and then she is free to share the full extent of her feelings and hope in this new situation, where everyone knows Oliver’s true identity, things will be different.
