‘Bones’ season 10, episode 13 preview: All about ‘The Baker in the Bits’

If you love to piece together mysteries on “Bones,” next week is going to be a crazy one. It’s also possible that it may make you want and never want again a variety of different baked goods. “The Baker in the Bits” is not an appetizing title, but we may change our mind about this entirely if the show serves up some tasty-looking cupcakes! Let’s start this particular teaser off with sharing the synopsis, since it gives you a sense about a B-story regarding Arastoo, Cam, and what is next with their relationship:

“When the body of an ex-con is found in pieces, the Jeffersonian team investigates a local bakery known for employing former felons. But they soon learn that the victim was involved in a robbery gone bad, and start targeting suspects from the ex-con’s past. Meanwhile, “squintern” Arastoo Vazirir (guest star Pej Vahdat) must decide whether to return to Iran to visit his dying brother, which causes friction between him and Cam.”

With the pun here obviously intended, we do have to say that we have a very major bone to pick with the promo for this episode. Specifically, it feels a little almost like we are watching a promo for almost any crime show out there. There’s a crazy murderer doing ritualistic things to his or her victims, and Booth and Brennan are on a race against time to stop them. What makes this show stand out is its quirkiness, charm, and unique characters, and we don’t really get a whole lot of that here to add to the synopsis.
