‘Supernatural’ season 10, episode 18 preview: Jensen Ackles’ story in ‘Book of the Damned’

Supernatural -Supernatural” has so far this season placed their focus on a variety of different themes, but survival at all costs has been the most important. We’ve seen Dean Winchester completely burdened by the Mark of Cain, and at this point there has been no way to remove it. Just when we started to think that it could be better controlled, we learn that it has started to become so much worse.

So can the Book of the Dead really save him? With a cool name like that, we sure hope so! The episode entitled “Book of the Damned” brings Felicia Day back into the fold next week, and the show seems to be making good on Charlie’s promise to inform the brothers of any information that she finds while out on the road. This story will be about the search for this book, and some of the not-so-great consequences it brings. Oh, and Castiel is also going to hit the road with Metatron. Hopefully, hijinks ensue. Take a look at the synopsis below:

“Charlie (guest star Felicia Day) calls Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) to tell them she found the Book of the Dead which could help remove the Mark of Cain. The Winchesters race to her after she tells them she’s been shot by a man named Jacob Styne (guest star Jeff Branson) who says the book belongs to his family and he won’t rest until he gets it back. Castiel (Misha Collins) and Metatron (guest star Curtis Armstrong) take a road trip to find Castiel’s grace but they hit a couple road bumps along the way.”

Superficially, we’d say that this has most of what you would hope for: Great guest stars, Castiel showing off his hardcore side, and the main story getting some attention. As a whole, it’s hard not to be excited about this.
